FaMiLy HoMe EvEnInG BoArD

I'm grateful to be the 7th child in my family. I get to see the powerful impact that FHE has had on my neices & nephews. I had a ton of fun creating this board & I hope that it will help us to be excited about FHE. If nothing else it will be on my fridge as a constant reminder to have FHE!

The Board is a Scrapbook Frame
Ribbon around the boarder on top of acrylic paint
Stickers from Micaels
Super-Duper Heavy Magnets on the back of Board
Magnets on Back of Names
Pre-Cut Name Boards from Michaels
A TON OF LOVE & TIME!

A good friend of mine just had her third little girl. I was so excited for her family. I made them matching buterfly bows.

Dirt for Lunch anyone?

We made this for our play group today. We had a spring party & what better way to celebrate spring than to play in the dirt.

How to...

2 pkgs. instant vanilla pudding
Mix according to directions
1 pkg. chocolate cookies (oreos)
Crumble in mixer
1 pkg. gummy worms- as many as you'd like

1 bucket or pot

Layer all three ingredients in container- Yummy! Worms & Dirt!

*It took some coaxing on the parents part to get our kids ages 4-2 to eat it but once they did they thought it was yummy!

Happy St. Paddy's Day!- Green Play Dough

Our Green Little Family

GREEN PLAY-DOUGH

1 Cup Flour
1 Cup Water
1/2 Cup Salt
1 Tbs Cream of Tartar
1 Tbs Oil
Food Coloring

Heat all ingredients in a saucepan, slow to med heat. Stir continuously. Once dough is at the consistency you want, remove from heat. Cool before using. High Salt CONTENT so please keep playdough away from pets.

Keep Play Dough in the Refrigerator- much better than store bought play-dough! Yeah!

* This was Justin's doing for Daddy-Kid Day. It was such a Joy for me to come home & see them playing together.

Visiting Teaching Cards

Okay so after my Philadelphia Visiting Teaching experience- you know the one where you have several ladies, some are a 30 minute drive & live in places where at first you feel that a police escort might help the white girl from Utah feel more comfortable ... I'm still strugling with my visiting teaching assignment...I have two less-active ladies who work nights & they rarely answer their phones or door.

I know that Christ is concerned for the ONE. I have seen so many wonderful blessings come because of vigilent visiting teachers. So for those of you who may be struggling, like myself, here is an idea to add to your Visiting Teaching Strategies.
Happy Visiting Teaching!

Rx for the Kitchen

Yesterday I attended a Provident Living Group on Home-Made Cleaning Agents. I learned how to make my own laundry detergent, baby wipes & that vinegar & baking soda are great multi-purpose cleaners. There is a connection to more of what was discovered in my side bar under Blogs I love to steal from... Provident Living.

Here are a few that I tried...

For an easy-to-clean oven and stove top, sprinkle with baking soda, then mist with water. Let soak, wipe clean.

Soaking burned casserole dishes? Add an old dryer sheet and let soak overnight. Wash and rinse clean.

For brilliant shine on faucets, buff with olive or vegetable oil using a dry rag. Rinse oil with club soda and wipe dry.

Now if I could only find a cleaning agent for my toughest job...cleaning Max after meal-time.
